The college has some specific rules and regulations to be followed by the students for the smooth and qualitative running of the institution. These are mentioned below.
Undertaking: Before a student is admitted to the College she or her Guardian has to sign an undertaking in proper form to the effect that the student will abide by the rules of the College.
Application: All written applications should be handed over to the Head Clerk who will place them before the Principal. The Principal does not receive any application from the student/ guardian directly. The students/parents can meet the Head Clerk personally and place their plea/problem in written format.
Leave:No student shall be allowed to remain absent herself without leave for more than 3 days continuously .Application for leave must be made in advance to the principal through proper channel. If however, the absence due to unforeseen circumstances an application for leave must be submitted by post or in person after returning to the College. Absence due to Illness needs a medical certificate duly signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner and Guardian. Absence without leave for more than three days is a serious breach of discipline. Application for leave should be duly signed by the guardian or the superintendent (in the case of hostel boarder) or by the proctor.
Bicycle:Cycles must be padlocked and kept in the proper place. They should not be kept in the College verandahs. The bicycles or any vehicles kept at a disorder manner is a sign of indiscipline. The college authorities are not responsible for any missing of the vehicles or bicycles of the students.
Private clubs or Teams: Students of the College are forbidden to belong to any outside athletic club or any other type of club or society or play for any team other than the College teams without the written permission of the Principal obtained beforehand. The students of this institution are not allowed to participate in any type of events organized or headed by any other institution without written permission of the principal. They can participate or represent in such events with proper permission which will be granted by the college authorities after receiving an application in this regard from the students.
Permission and leave to accompany the College team: When a body of delegation is deputed by the College to any other Institution or place away from Gunupur town for any reason, Permission must be obtained from the Principal before departure. The boarders of the Hostel must also obtain the permission of the superintendent to leave the station. The boarders must give an application in proper format to leave the hostel temporarily or permanently for any reason. Any disobedience in this regard will be viewed seriously.
Spitting & disfiguring on the walls, floors, pillars & door etc, of College is strictly prohibited.
Students are forbidden to loiter in the corridors & Campus of the College unnecessarily and tamper any infrastructural items through any materials.
Students are warned against handling of bicycles or other vehicles not owned and possessed by them. Unnecessary movements in the college premises are not allowed.
Misbehavior of a student in the class room or any of the College meeting or during matches or athletic meets or any other functions and competitions is liable to be punished with a fine or expulsion or both.
Scribing, Pasting placards, Posters and other papers or otherwise disfiguring the College walls or path are strictly prohibited.
Using of cell phones in class rooms is strictly prohibited. The use of cell phone for the purpose of reading or studying is only allowed. If she violets this rule, the mobile phone will be seized by the college authorities and this matter will be informed to the parents and the mobile phone will be returned only to the parents after a proper counseling.
. Misbehavior and any type of indisciplinary action of students with the Principal, Lecturers, teachers or any other employees of the College /Officers of the University or Guests of the College function/outside officers deputed to College for special official purpose will be treated as an academic indiscipline and this will be viewed seriously. The student is liable to be punished with fine or expulsion or both.
Students should invariably observe queue and maintain discipline while waiting at the counter of office/Library/Exam section and they are required to produce their identity/library card for the respective purposes.
Students are advised to meet the Principal and other Officers on her behalf, not in groups but individually only during prescribed hours of interview. They should not ordinarily enter the office without proper permission and hamper the official works of the institution.
No club or society should be started or maintained in the College and no function or meeting should be organized without the approval of the principal.
Students should not bring outsiders into the College campus unless and otherwise desired by the College administration. Outsiders are strictly prohibited to enter the college premises without proper permission. Parents or guardians of the students must get permission from the college authorities to enter the college and hostel premises. They are welcomed to give their grievances or suggestions if any to the college authorities in the proper platform. The parents are advised to attend the parents meeting held in the college at regular interval without fail.
Students must come to the college with the prescribed uniform dress code and carry their ID-Cards and produce before the authorities whenever required. Students are not allowed to the college campus without uniform dress code and Identity card.
The students have to deposit different types of fees in the office as per the prescribed datelines.
Proctorial system has been introduced by the esteemed Government of Odisha in the department of Higher Education. We have implemented this system for the all round development of the students. Students must attend the proctorial classes without fail.
